Art and the Broads - With the Sainsbury Centre and Natural England
Working with West Earlham Infant and Nursery School
Art & the Broads involved working with Year 1 and Year 2 students from West Earlham Infant and Nursery School, and focused on investigating the themes of art and the environment, whilst in a variety of settings such as the Sainsbury Centre Sculpture Park and the Norfolk Broads.
During the project, I delivered a series of workshops at the Sainsbury Centre, as well as within the school and at the ‘Hoveton Great Broad Restoration Project’ on the Norfolk Broads, alongside project partner Natural England. Sessions involved watercolour painting, collaborative mural making, species sampling and experimenting with augmented reality technology. Whilst also offering a chance to work with scientists to learn about the rich ecology and cultural history of the Norfolk Broads National Park.
