Art and the Broads - With the Sainsbury Centre and Natural England
Working with West Earlham Infant and Nursery School
Art & the Broads was a collaborative project with Year 1 and Year 2 students from West Earlham Infant and Nursery School, designed to explore themes of art and the environment across diverse settings, including the Sainsbury Centre Sculpture Park and the Norfolk Broads. Through this project, I led workshops that combined creative expression with environmental awareness, encouraging young students to engage with their surroundings in meaningful ways.
Workshops took place at the Sainsbury Centre, in the classroom, and at the Hoveton Great Broad Restoration Project on the Norfolk Broads, alongside project partner Natural England. Activities ranged from watercolour painting and collaborative mural-making to species sampling and experiments with augmented reality technology, offering students hands-on experiences in art, ecology, and the cultural heritage of the Norfolk Broads National Park.
